Master Qu is 43 years old and was born in Yan Tai the origin of “Mantis” Kung fu. He is an eighth Generation Tai Chi Plum Palm and sixth Generation Yin Style Ba Gua Zhang Master. Furthermore, Master Qu has reached his 6th Duan in Chinese Martial Arts.

　　He began studying Plum Shuai Shou Mantis Style from Master Xu Wanlong when he was 10 years old. After a decade of hard work, he became proficient in Plum Mantis style. However, he felt that he has not fully satisfied with the skills he learned or the expertise he wished to possess. So he persistently continued to learn and discovered Tai Chi plum Mantis from Master Zhang Bingdou, a famous Mantis Master in Qingdao. Then after training with his new Master, he received several first-place awards in national and international Kung Fu competitions.

　　Determined to learn more about Kung Fu and determined to become a master himself, he went to Beijing and followed the steps of his 3 famous masters, Wang Sang Zhi of Yin style Ba Gua Zhuang, Wang Xuan Jie of Da Chen Fist and Zhang Guang Yu of Hun Yuan Gong.

        After many years of training, he decided to start teaching at the age of 28. To give his students the best Kung Fu he combined the best knowledge from his teachers and created his own teaching methods. This is so that his students can learn in a short period of time. Furthermore, he tailors his teaching to suit the individual needs of each student. Today, he has over a decade of teaching experience and students from around the world. His students have come from Denmark, Germany, Indonesia and The United States to name a few. Many of these students have competed in competitions in Yantai and Dalian and won gold medals. Seeing his students preforming well in competitions makes him very proud.
